Tal Harry

It seems like Tal Harry was born at Richter7. He began his career here and worked his way up to partner/department head, managing substantial duties with multiple clients and employees. Tal provides guidance for many clients, among them: Zions Bank, Big-D Construction, Utah’s Hogle Zoo. Tal’s experience at Richter7 also includes long stints working with major fast food and restaurant clients and their franchisee groups. Tal is Richter7's CEO.

Tim Brown

Tim began his career in Los Angeles doing PR for Fuji Bank, the Consulate General of Japan, et al. Today as Richter7 president, Tim is directing major clients through crisis communications while generating publicity for other clients in national media like the Today Show, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, Travel & Leisure, etc. A frequent speaker on 'creativity,' Tim threw toy balls to 500 corporate executives as part of his creative thinking workshop. Ideas stormed forward, as did the balls. (No one was harmed…almost.)

Scott Rockwood

Scott's work and views have been written about by ADWEEK, Ad Age, Creativity, Communication Arts, Brand Week and the Wall Street Journal. He has been a guest columnist for ADWEEK providing commentary on Super Bowl ads. He has received the highest award given by the American Advertising Federation for advancing the standards of advertising. Among Scott's roles, he guides clients to identify their brand messaging.

Dave Newbold

Heralded by ADWEEK as 'a rising creative star,' Dave's thoughtful and innovative approach has been utilized by such entities as American Express, Foot Locker, Major League Baseball, 7UP, Boy Scouts of America, and many others. Dave is a past president of the Utah Advertising Federation, and was named Creative Director of the Year by that organization.

Assistant Controller
Richter7, Utah’s most decorated advertising agency, and a pretty darn fun place to work, is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, specifically in Accounts Payable and Receivable tracking and reporting. Even better—experience using Advantage, our integrated accounting and time management software.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee client billing
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable reporting (will have data entry support)
  • Manage cash flow
  • Complete monthly reporting on client and employee profitability
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly financial reporting
  • Assist with budget management
  • Maintain database of client, vendor, and accounting information
  • Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and payroll management
  • Assist in benefits administration
  • Complete quarterly and annual federal and state taxes

Position Requirements

  • Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • 5+ years professional experience, preferably with an advertising agency or media service company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and third-party accounting database integration (Advantage Software preferred)

Integrated Media Buyer
We are currently looking to hire a media buyer and we are considering all levels of experience with at least one year or more. The Media Buyer works closely with the Media Director to fulfill client objectives through media buying. This person will be given high level training to properly understand all media types. Additionally, this person will be trained in both traditional and digital media buying. Digital and planning experience will be strongly considered a plus, but are not required.

      Marketing Reporting Analyst
      Richter7 is currently looking for a Marketing Reporting Analyst to help analyze and produce reporting deliverables for our clients. Marketing channels include email, paid search, display, social media, PR and general web analytics reporting. This position requires someone that is comfortable working with data from a variety of different marketing technologies.


      • Gathering the appropriate data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports for clients from a variety of sources and provide them to the designated stakeholder prior to stated deadlines
      • Assist with industry and competitor research for marketing campaigns
      • Work with project managers to make sure client expectations are appropriately set and met
      • Make recommendations about ways to improve reporting, as well as recommending optimizations for ad campaigns
      • Update tracking tags for various analytics tools and channels
      • Assisting with the management of client email platforms
      • Email: Work with strategy team to create segmented email marketing lists and campaigns
      • Email: Create post campaign tracking to provide actionable recommendations for improvement
      • Track customer behavior across various web platforms, pinpoint actions such as conversions, product selection, and optimize the web experience to improve KPIs

      Job Requirements

      • Minimum 3 years experience
      • Exceptional Microsoft Excel Skills are required
      • Some experience with marketing technologies such as web analytics tools (SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, etc.) or ad serving technologies (Mediaplex, DoubleClick, etc.) is required
      • Background in marketing, data analytics, mathematics, business systems technology, or other related field
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
      • Exceptional attention to detail
      • Work and thrive in a busy, agency environment
      • Effective time management and ability to work independently
      • Ability to present findings/reports/data to clients
